How to Join the Unofficial Challenge
We wanted to give the opportunity for our amateur guitar builders out there to also get involved in this challenge.
This challenge is open to makers who already have, or want to begin a YouTube channel. One of the main prizes up for grabs is the opportunity to be featured on Crimson's Youtube channel, so being able to produce and publish videos online is essential.
The closing date for this side competition is Saturday 17th October, so email email@example.com as soon as possible with details of your entry. We encourage all our challengers to promote your builds on your Social Media, tag @greatguitarbuildoff and use #greatguitarbuildoff so we can follow along.
The Prize Draw
In the final week of October 2020 Crimson Guitars Master Luthier Ben Crowe will pick and post his top 15 builds on the Instagram page @crimsonguitars. The public then choose the Top 5 builders by liking their favourite guitar post.
We encourage each challenger to share the post with their fans and followers as well. Every like counts as a vote.
Crimson Guitars will showcase the top 5 amateur builders on our YouTube channel and we will use the likes for each video to choose the 3 finalists. The top 3 guitars will receive prizes.
1st Prize - Entry into the Official "Great Guitar Build Off" 2021, a Crimson Kit Guitar of the winners choosing, including a Crimson Essential Fret Levelling and Dressing Toolkit (or voucher of similar value), a pair of ISOtunes FREE and a £50 voucher from the Vintage Tool Shop
2nd Prize - an MF, S or T-style Crimson Kit Guitar, a £40 voucher to be spent at crimsonguitars.com, a pair of ISOtunes PRO 2.0 and a £40 voucher from the Vintage Tool Shop
